CARRILLO 5TH GRADE
We’re so excited to kick off an amazing final year at Carrillo for our Class of 2027! I’m Arline McGowan, this year’s 5th Grade Committee Chair, and I’m looking forward to working with everyone to make this a fun and memorable year for our kids!
We already have so many parents excited to get involved, and we’d love for you to join us as we start planning all of the fun activities, events, fundraising efforts, and special moments that make 5th grade such a memorable year.
Come hear about what’s ahead, share your ideas, and find out how you can get involved! Whether you’d like to take the lead on something, join a volunteer team, or simply help when you can, there’s a place for everyone. 💙🤍

How Our 5th Graders Make an Impact
-
LEADERSHIP
Have you seen students wearing blue vests around campus or during drop-off? You’ve spotted our Blue Crew!
As part of Blue Crew, 5th graders take on leadership roles by helping younger students, supporting staff, and modeling the values we hold as Carrillo Colts. It’s a meaningful way to build confidence, responsibility, and school pride in their final year.
-
LEGACY
Throughout the year, our 5th graders work together to raise funds that give back to Carrillo and leave a lasting impact.
Through fundraisers and events, students contribute to a class gift that benefits future Colts. Past gifts have included items like a friendship bench, digital marquee, soccer goals, and equipment used for school programs and events.
