FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Held each December, Festival of Lights is a beloved Carrillo Elementary tradition led by our PTO and dedicated teacher volunteers. This festive evening brings our community together to celebrate creativity, music, and school spirit as our campus is transformed with student artwork, twinkling lights, live performances, and special guests. Festival of Lights is a joyful way to connect and celebrate the season as we head into winter break.
A Night to Remember
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the 2025 Festival of Lights such a magical success. Our sincere thanks go to our teachers, students, and the many parent volunteers whose dedication brought this special evening to life. From the beautiful artwork and campus displays to the performances by the SEMS Band and the Carrillo Singers, the festive spirit was felt throughout our school.
A very special thank-you to Jill d’Artenay, who began this tradition nearly five years ago during the COVID pandemic as a way to strengthen our school community. Thanks to her creativity and leadership, Festival of Lights has grown into a cherished Carrillo tradition each winter.
We also extend our appreciation to Skipp Cook and the Dads on Ladders team for installing the campus lights, Tall Tails Character Events for donating Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, and our Santa Sponsors, Polan Family Dental and Julia Rintz Photography, with Julia Rintz also generously donating professional Santa photos for our students.
